Where is the proposed megastructure Downtown Circle planned to be built?

If there's any insane or grandiose architecture involved, it's either China or UAE.

This is a completely bizarre proposal which, if it happens, wouldn't be complete until into the 2040s. In my opinion it would age badly like the brutalist architecture of the 1970s and have a similar lifespan.

Arabeska, I’m not sure what you mean on the top of the world. Dubai has over-the-top architecture, to be sure. JxP may have stated it awkwardly, but Dubai does wild things with design. Anything which can survive the heat and provide good conversation, is innovative and sleekly designed, my first thought is Dubai. So, in architecture, yes. I agree with you. Though there have been many lower-tech but brilliantly designed structures across the world for different climate challenges.
