Frog, I built one of those in the mid 60's that did not need a power source. Size of a thick ink pen with an alligator clip on a wire you would "groung" til you got reception. So intriguing I went to K.C. M0. in '69 to United Electronics Institute to become an engineer. Nixon and the Vietnam 🇻🇳 conflict dashed those hopes in 1970. I became a much needed 'SPARKY' radio communications Delta CO.
