( Snail Darter), especially north is stunningly beautiful. So are central Vietnam. South is more humid but has some lovely beaches. All in all Vietnam is a beautiful country with excellent cuisine. However, the people in Ho Chi Minh are not the most friendly and are extremely corrupt. Central and North Vietnam is far better. This is my assessment

the dong was 1500 dong to 1 U.S. dollar a few years ago. It took fistfulls to pay for our hotel. It is a great place to visit. I will go again!
