Mild aphasia such as forgetting words and names, can be part of the symptoms of. menopause. Anxiety and depression and other symptoms usually considered to be mental health issues can occur too but they disappear once hormone levels rebalance. Many women aren't told about this (even today!) so wanted to share, because it's important to know you're not going mad and it will pass !!!

My mum had this. Never knew it had it's own name. I was just told she had a cerebral hemorrhage. Which caused the loss of speech.
Thank you for teaching me this.
Given 3 days to live in 1976. Such a strong loving character that battled everyday with a smile on her face. She never died till 2014.

How interesting that this question came up for me today! 4 years ago today my mother died after having a stroke that had caused aphasia. She was 96 and lived for 3 weeks after the stroke, but couldn't speak a word in those 3 weeks.
