What is the longest-occupied castle in Europe?

I'm not convinced by the claim. Three of the four options were built during the 11th century but without specific record of when they were started. At least two of those had settlements prior to the construction, and have had people living there continuously.

lol, I read “occupied” as in taken over by another force or country, as opposed to “lived in”. Doh!
