He is instrumental in changing the prejudicial mindset of that time by holding such a prominent position in our legal system. At that time there were still separate bathrooms and drinking fountains. Here was a strong, educated and intelligent man who challenged all of the stereotypes. He was a great man who deserves a great deal of respect for the mark he made on this country and it's history!!

There's a new movie just came out recently about a famous case where he served as legal council to a defense attorney because the judge didn't want a black person litigating in his courtroom. I believe it's on Amazon.

10bwc, sure the 1964 legislation "banned" such things but Toots is correct they still existed. I recall seeing a "whites only" sign by the courthouse water fountain as a child (painted over lightly with white paint but still visible). I wasn't even born until the 70's so that had to be at least 1975? Here in Tampa FL you can easily be hassled by cops for being the wrong color for the neighborhood...

Toots, No. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 banned segregation in ALL public places. Read up, don't just go by what you've heard.

I wish there was an option to be timed or not. I don't like being timed.

Toots. We should also mention the Thurgood Marshall was the Judge presiding in Brown Vs Board Of Education, in which Brown won in Topeka, Kansas. This monumental and groundbreaking case lead to Integrated Schools which is why we are the way we are today! Jesus Saves!!!

Player #12773486, Everyone has feelings and should be treated equally. It is horrible that people have to be so mean and full of hate. People need Jesus so they can be kind and show love. God bless everyone.
