I owned a 1968 TBird. It was awesome, fast and luxurious. Had a 429 engine and suicide doors. Turning signals in back blinked in three stages. Never will be a prettier car.

My husband owned one before we were married. always talked about how much he loved it. He unfortunately had a lead foot and wore out the transmission. He told me he blew it's transmission 18 months after buying the car. We were always replacing clutches or transmission. I kept my reliant Plymouth for 20 years. He blew his car every year. I would not let him drive my car! Lol.

Player #2467929, Another vintage car was the Cadillac Eldorado..got one in 65 for my wedding present from my husband.. It had white leather interior with navy blue diamond dust paint. After we decided it wasn't a drive around town car we put it on blocks and covered it for 15yrs Thought it was the cat's meow!!! Selling it was a dumb move

A working colleague of mine had one of the earlier T-Birds which used circuit breakers instead of fuses. Unfortunately they were fairly sensitive and headlights would go out on random intervals. They fixed it when he threatened to widely published this problem.

the t bird was before its time and i am very sorry that ford discontinued a timeless automobile and it should always stayed as a 2 seater vehicle that is the way it looked best in 1955 and it should have stayed that way
