Which car maker produced the Thunderbird?
Correct answer: Ford
Carol S.
I owned a 1968 TBird. It was awesome, fast and luxurious. Had a 429 engine and suicide doors. Turning signals in back blinked in three stages. Never will be a prettier car.

My husband owned one before we were married. always talked about how much he loved it. He unfortunately had a lead foot and wore out the transmission. He told me he blew it's transmission 18 months after buying the car. We were always replacing clutches or transmission. I kept my reliant Plymouth for 20 years. He blew his car every year. I would not let him drive my car! Lol.

Ford had a winner for a long time until Ford decided to make a sports car into a family car. Seen it done several times. Then it looses it's appeal to younger fede
