David Musick: yes. Lock em all up. Lock them up lock them up,,,.. this is me exercising my right to free speech..... that which undermines the freedom and well being of innocent people is not freedom to do what ever you like. The haters and and killers of others for their color, religion, (even for their indigenous origins to the USA); is an affront to ourselves as Americans. Racism for any reason is not a legitimate, ethical or even moral authoritative position. It is more like ignorance, immorality, non spiritual understanding magnified and therefore has no real basis in true human thought.

I never realized a president was so actively involved with shutting down the vicious murdering of innocent people. I have a deep respect for President Grant

Player #2302284, no. he doesn't cause it. the antifa and far right are accountable for their own actions. the media is as guilty if not more guilty by inflaming and sparky hate. the media is a joke now. it is all slanted left or right. no longer report the news, but rather create the news by delivering the message they want to deliver.

MuscularPisces1132, How could he?!!! He was a Black President in a Country, STOLEN by WHITE people FOR WHITE people. NO PRESIDENT black OR white will EVER do AWAY with racism. They MIGHT be able to do away with ORGANIZATIONS, that propagate racism… Even THAT is unlikely.

On April 24, 1877, on orders from President Rutherford B. Hayes, federal troops withdrew from the state house in Louisiana—the last federally defended state house in the South—just 12 years after the end of the Civil War. This withdrawal marked the end of Reconstruction and paved the way for the unrestrained resurgence of white supremacist rule in the South, carrying with it the rapid deterioration of political rights for Black people. The removal of troops from the South at the end of reconstruction left formerly enslaved people again vulnerable to the infringement of voting rights for Black men, through fraudulent eligibility tests, intimidation, and terrorism by white supremacist groups. Apartheid styled oppressive Jim Crow laws stripped Blacks of their constitutional freedoms going forward. It wouldn’t be until 1965 that voting rights for Black men and women were officially granted by law in America. Thank you President Grant for your efforts toward social justice after the Civil War and Emancipation.

IHateEvery1, I am guessing you mean KKK members are merely exercising free speech and shouldn’t be prosecuted? IF it stopped at speech, you might be right. Their organization goes beyond that to killing, harassing, and marginalizing POC.

We should not have to tolerate any hate groups. I think that we determine what is hate speech and what is the freedom of speech. Many of these groups want to push us into a race war and destroy what is good in this country.

I completely disagree with this question. The KKK was never dismantled by Grant. They were beginning their domestic terrorism because, southerners resented rights African American men such as, voting and landownership. It was during time, thousands of innocent and unarmed African Americans were lynched.

GaryOfTheUS, not quite true.At the constitutional convention of 1787(?) the slave population were given a 3/5 vote on taxes and electing House members. Admittedly unfair but such was the politics of the time.

GaryOfTheUS, in 1865, black men were killed and terrorized if they attempted to register to vote much less actually trying to vote. The KKK and sons of the revolution kept men of color from voting in the south.

The recent riots involving George Floyd and incessant police brutality is no less serious in its composition than the KKK in the 1800s. We are faced with a different kind of Justice system headed by some dangerous folks who are still working the system on the principles President Grant fought to root out .
