What kinds of whales are mostly seen at Kenai Fjords National Park?
Correct answer: Humpback and Orca

Although both Cetaceans. Orcas are more closely related to oceanic dolphins. The term Whale, can refer to both toothed and baleen types. Technically, a killer whale is a dolphin.

I am sure the answer provided is correct however, during my two very brief visits to the area, I was lucky to see large groups of belugas. Such a beautiful place. So many incredible living creatures.

Orcas are dolphins, not whales.

Bird Brain 007, that is too what i have always heard orcas are in the dolfin family

martin

it's lucky for me that I know where Anchorage is, though I did n't know there is a fjord in the region. usually you mention the country you're talking about

Foncilla
The Orca is the largest member of the Dolphin Family. It is also NOT a “killer.” It is a keystone predator that kills great white sharks. Attributing human characteristics in naming animals is a taboo in all biology. It’s called anthropomorphism.

martin, Fiddle faddle may as well call camel, llamas. Very like, related, but don't breed.

Syr Hal, don't feel bad, I do live in North America and I've never heard of it either. Guess that's why it's called trivia. 🤗

Player #2338509, i would find incredible to see a beluga whale. I think they are unique creatures

Syr Hal
Pretty obscure question for those who don’t live in North America. Never ever heard of that park.
