Lily Pond, Info I could find would seem to indicate that there are five gyres (which is what I think you are referring to) This info is not directly from me, Its from a website that covers these things. In total, there are five large subtropical gyres: the North Atlantic Gyre, the South Atlantic Gyre, the Indian Ocean Gyre, and the North and South Pacific Gyres. The highest plastic concentration is found in the North Pacific Gyre. It is also known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

Coo, A lot of books have been written about the Sargasso Sea. They said back when ships were under sail, that if you got stuck in the Sargasso Sea, you’d never get out and the crew would die there. Then authors started saying that the crew would turn into creatures like the creature from the black lagoon. Stuff like that. I used to read books like that when I was younger about 8 or 9. Now I’m 67 and I know better.
