However the popular misconception that the elephant is the only animal which has four knees isn't quite accurate. What appear to be the elephant's front knees are in fact its wrists and elbows. Like other four legged animals the elephant has two knees at the back legs and elbows and wrists at the front legs.

Maybe they meant four knees per animal. The 'knee' in the forelegs of most quadrupeds are not knees, they don't have a patella.
So dogs, horses ... have knees in their hind Legs. But in their forelegs the joint is closer to our elbow... no floating patella.

Technically, all animals listed have four legs and, therefore, four knees. if they meant four knees in each leg, then specify in the question and explain in the answer.
