How can we really know what or how sweets taste like to a cat? Maybe sweets taste like fish to a cat. It seems plausible to me.

my 3 cats love very sweet things like frostings, whipped cream made with added sugar. without sugar, won't touch it, marshmallow, caramel etc. so much so I have to hide in a room they are not in to enjoy it 😻😹

This is nonsense. Perhaps there's an atypical mechanism in play but I have own a bajillion cats. I've only noticed this behavior in one of them but I keep testing the theory. She is uninterested in milk. But goes crazy for milk that has had cookies or graham crackers dunked into it. The same goes with cereal milk, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, apple filling and pop tarts. These feline studies should spend 5 seconds with her. Back to the drawing board ladies and gentlemen.
