'Twas brilliant, and the slippery magic
Twisted and wobbled in the wabe:
The borogoves were all mimsy,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware of the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware of the Jubjub bird, and avoid
The dirty Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
For a long time he sought the manxome enemy -
So he rested at the Tumtum tree
And stood in thought for a while.
And, while he stood in thought, Came
the Jabberwock, with flaming eyes,
Through the tufted forest,
And babbled as he came!
One, two! One, two! And on and on
Went the vorpal sword snicker snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went back.
“And you killed the Jabberwock?
Come to my weapons, my bratty boy!
O wonderful day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chuckled with joy.
It was beautiful, and the slippery toves
Twisted and wobbled in the wabe:
