How many islands are there in Thousand Islands archipelago?

I remember Yanks crossing the border into Canada equiped for a skiing vacation & being shocked to see us wearing Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts while wiping the sweat off our brows.

WaldoLydeker, just because the 1000 islands are up north does NOT mean it's Cold , why don't you Try to find out about other countries but your own

I loved living up by there so incredibly beautiful also where the 1,000 island dressing gets it's name and on the border of Ontario and Quebec Canada

anyone know why it was named 1000 islands?
