What is the medical term for the popping, cracking sound of your knee joint?

I hadn't heard of medical cavitation. I was thinking about fluid cavitation, where bubbles form and collapse due to pressure change.

Ah, that explains why my knees sound like a goat chewing a can. Now I have a name for it.
