Eddie Murphy carried SNL. But like other SNL alums, he misjudged how far a narrow schtick can carry a career. He has proven lately that he can develop his range and has the talent to do more than just comedy. Music - one hit wonder. But his acting chops are definitely developing. He is an underrated talent on-screen.
