At the start of the war two Finnish soldiers at the border saw the Russians approaching.
They looked at each other then one said “Oh, God , look at all those Russians !”
The other replied “ Yeah , where are going to bury them all?”

So many times the conquerors thinks that the bigger army, the faster they win and occupy. So wrong it is. And respect to the Finnish people who fought to protect their homeland from the Sovjet occupation, and show that it's not the nr, it's the courage and the heart who makes difference.

And now history repeats with Russia invading Ukraine...will the outcome be the same? 🤔
Sgt Mad Dog
Goddess Raven , Does that remind me of what's going on in Ukraine today? I stand strong with the Ukrainian people, lion hearts all, God bless and help them!

I wonder if we will ever stop fighting wars. Why not promote trade instead? Praying for peace in Ukraine!
Craig
Osiris, I sure hope.
Trixie
Definitely very similar to Russia's invasion of Ukraine today. Humans... slow learners eeh!
PerkyLin
CyanJaguar62, With someone as evil and power-mad as Putin, only Putin's death gives Ukraine any hope!

Osiris, and don't forget Afghanistan. Soviets/Russians don't have a great history with invasions. And their great defensive successes have largely depended on cannon fodder and vicious cold (and mud).

Player #55741825, you are right! Like the USA and NATO how many wars have they started ?
Player #55741825
With Russia/Ukraine; support is with Ukraine ,land wars are invariably short lived as other countries become involved and it’s reasoning behind it is farcical for the country that starts it.
