He greatly deserved his award for Mr. Holland's Opus but The Goodbye Girl is a forgotten gem, especially the title theme by Bread. Remember them?

Bobby Red Shoes
I always thought Close Encounters was a better movie than Star Wars.

Well, let me tell ya folks, it ISNT the man in the picture. That is the legendary director Steven Spielberg. Nice trick they tried to play on us. Didn't work on me. Lol.

Everyone has seen Jaws and Close Encounters many times, so the question was easy.

nano

Mardi, If ever I wanted a sequel was this movie, I would like to see what happened to those that traveled with the aliens, actually cute little guys and not horror or scary.

Player #8198221, Yeah I liked it too, who wouldn’t want to be “Kirk” and wanting to know the gal (Suzanne Sommers, sad she is no longer with us) in the white T Bird.

Alws_Learning
God-is-AMAZING!, Yup! I really liked Mr. Holland’s Opus. So poignant,I liked the transitions in life from young to older. A must see movie if you haven’t.
