Palinka is a spirit that Romanian people in Transylvania produce. True Palinka is made of plums... and is 50 to more than 70% alcohol. Hungarians has been governing Transylvania for hundreds of years in the Middle ages. Nowadays... neither Hungary... nor Austria have territories in the Carpathian Basin. Hungary hasn't existed as a country before the end of WW1. Hungarians have lived as vassals to the Austrian Emperors for hundreds of years before gaining independence.
