Zell. I am a female , it’s NOT always cold there. As a matter of fact a lot of times it is colder in the lower 48 in the winter than in Alaska. I should know, I lived there for 30 years.

Hey, I lived in Anchorage too for 5 yrs from age 10-14. Yes, the Northern lights are the most marvelous thing I've ever witnessed besides the birth of my 3 children, I'm now 66, been back once to visit my best friend ( since 6th grade up there) she's half native Alaskan Indian. I loved it too. mine n her initials r carved on the top of the stairs at the 4thAve Theater!! and I was in the 3/27 1964 earthquake!!

QuizLord, Since the bible talks about God living in the sides of the north, I like to think of the N. lights as a reflection of his throne-room! Wouldn't that be cool if it was true? It may be!

Timmy, your right. It is very, very expensive and yes very a shame that only the super rich can only enjoy it. I was lucky. I lived in Alaska for 6 years and was able to fish without a license. That was years ago, before everything became so commercialized.

FlowerPower67, Did you ever get to see the wild brown coastal bears at the Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park Alaska? I've learned a lot enjoy it so.much Someday would love to go to see the bears (people can watch these wild bears from places set up to watch oray even run into bears as walking but the Park teaches people what to do if they to come upon a bear walking same path😬Anyway it's fascinating and now Im in love with these huge bears. Sorry so long...but when I saw you had lived there I thought to ask! Bears whales Bald Eagles souch beauty there.
