I lived in Anchorage for almost 2 years and I absolutely loved it!! Such a beautiful place!! My jaw totally dropped when I got to see The Northern Lights!! My oldest daughter was born there, I had an awesome doctor and Humana Hospital Alaska is an excellent hospital where they treat people great!

Zell. I am a female , it’s NOT always cold there. As a matter of fact a lot of times it is colder in the lower 48 in the winter than in Alaska. I should know, I lived there for 30 years.

Hey, I lived in Anchorage too for 5 yrs from age 10-14. Yes, the Northern lights are the most marvelous thing I've ever witnessed besides the birth of my 3 children, I'm now 66, been back once to visit my best friend ( since 6th grade up there) she's half native Alaskan Indian. I loved it too. mine n her initials r carved on the top of the stairs at the 4thAve Theater!! and I was in the 3/27 1964 earthquake!!

Timmy, your right. It is very, very expensive and yes very a shame that only the super rich can only enjoy it. I was lucky. I lived in Alaska for 6 years and was able to fish without a license. That was years ago, before everything became so commercialized.
