I should have clarified, hemp has only legal to sell in the US since December 2018. It's been legal to buy from outside the US and to own hemp products for longer than that.
Although it was never a very well enforced law, presumably because the DEA has better things to worry about than non-psychoactive plant products, so many US stores have sold hemp products for decades.

The very first newspaper magnate in America who owned his own newspaper, achieved due to his own work and diligence and not inherited wealth was Benjamin Franklin at the ripe old age of 23!!!
