nimblemoon, Well, he got his 'revenge' a couple of months later by knocking Boardman out of the 4000 pursuit at the world championships and taking the gold medal. He won gold again in 1995. Also got his 1hour record back. Has been inducted into the Scottish and British Halls of Fame - and my best friend lives in a street named after him. He invented the style of riding most cyclists use today, so he's not done too badly☺
