in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years and I loved Beetle Bailey. The comic strip was an outlet for what we wished we were able to do but we also understood what our job was. The officers we serve under were exemplary in almost every single case. It's called satire.

the us militarys officers have the superiority complex as others in authority and Beatle Bailey the private who loves to nap and the General who is "dumb" is the perfect nature of all army officers. signed Lt. Col. US 5th Army division.

Only one listed with a military setting. Guess they didn't want to put ideas in the enlisted men's minds. I still love the comic strip.

No cartoons should be banned. With all the stuff on TV being said everyday… so sad . Like Dilbert was banned to… it’s just a cartoon….

Gary, Wethersfield draftees or enlisted, most faced danger and death. And those who survived with life changing injuries both mental and physical are still soldiers

Absolutetruthin1777, As a child of the 60's and as the wife of a submariner and mother of an USAF officer I grew to appreciate different perspectives, and loved the humor. "Humor in Uniform" from Reader,'s Digest was also another fave.
