MY 6TH COUSIN WAS WALT DISNEY MY GREAT GRANDFATHER WALT RUTHERFORD MARRIED ERVALINE DISNEY THEY WERE MY GRANDMAS PARENTS
Pchblsom
CoastalHippo6263, Disney would be appalled today with the prices they charge at Disneyland. He always wanted to be affordable for everyone to go to.😥
I am not a number.
CoastalHippo6263, I can't work out what your exact relationship is to Walt because I don't know his relationship to Ervaline but I think you are much closer than 6th cousin. Sixth would mean you both share the same great-great-great-great-great-grandparents which seems too many generations ago.
I suspect, because it's your great-grandfather, then it will be something like 2nd cousins once removed or twice removed. Maybe 3rd. The "removed" just means the cousins are generation away. So if the common ancestors were your great-grandfather and his grandfather, then it would be your 1st cousin once removed.

Hey come on, i believe i would be very proud to be related to Walt Disney. Disney created an idea that blossomed into one of the most enjoyed entertainment venues in the world. So go ahead and gloat!

Pchblsom, I agree. The average person can not afford to go any of the parks. Granted, the one here in California (the original) was one of the last to raise its prices. I remember, even though I was a single mother, and had to plan the trip, I could still afford to go. But last three times, I went to Southern Cal., checked prices. ouch!. I am on disablity, and could not afford it, even with the discounts. I sympathize with the people who work there, they need a living wage. But to work there you need to have customers who can afford it. Not thw corporation, who just. wants to fill their pockets.

The prices are crazy high. The lines are a mile long. By the time you finally get on the ride, you dont care if its a cool ride thru the sewer system

Had to let my Grandchildren down as checked prices for us...3 adults and 2 children 5 and 3 at that time... To go was over 10 thousand pounds for a 2 week trip to Orlando Disney 😳... Need a mortgage...😠
antzuzu
Walt Disney would be appalled about how much *everything* costs!! Wages and security and technology and Food (omg. Gourmet for toddlers?!) And you know vendors salivate when they are awarded a Disney contract... And my apologies but Anaheim is a dive and Orlando is headed there...
Mel
THE PRICES re exorbitant. you have to spend a years salary just to get in not to mention the restaurants and shops for souvenirs. ridiculousz!

Back in the 50s there was still a lot of agriculture the Anaheim, CA area. Japanese farmer who grew strawberries was the last to sell his adjacent property to Disneyland in the 90s

CAGranny, Last time I was the California park was in 1970 at $20 plus dollars for admission

I worked at Epcot in 1987 for 1 year as a cultural reps. - Italian Pav. - had the chance to visit all the different attractions for free. Everything was very well organized. And what visitors see is much less than the real extension of the parks....

Pchblsom, It surprises me that people still continue to go to these parks, even though they are so expensive! I'm sure many who can't really afford it manage to cut back on other important things so that they can go.
Melode
quite a few of these parks like Disney world Disneyland and sea world are very expensive. everytime they put a new ride in like the star wars exhibit they charge more. the first time I went to Disneyland I met Walt Disney himself. he was very nice and gracious to my family. brilliant man. I liked the pirates of the carribbean ride best.

Granny, my daughter and I went to Disneyland Paris. While it was a fun experience, it lacked some of the Magic of the US Disney parks.

I went to Disneyland Paris several years ago. I forgot the real price but it was a special offer and very affordable. An unforgettable experience. A friend of mine who lives in the Netherlands, named Marina, was a regular visitor in Disneyland Paris. Every school holiday she brought her children there. Too bad that she has health problem and now she must use wheelchair. They never come there anymore. It is too difficult for the family to travel to Paris.

My family visited the Disneyland in Nineties and maybe it's time to do another trip there. Even in those days it was pretty expensive though.

penawareof,
But don’t worry , the 2020 news is that millennials consider the full stop to be aggressive.
So capitals with full stops are probably considered either threats to kill or a declaration of war
