Who built the ancient city of Machu Picchu in Peru?
Correct answer: The Incas
Skinski
that's a guess. the evidence shows that a pre-inca civilisation of expert builders came first, it was probably them.
BluesRaconteur
Skinski, I've looked into it. Explorer Brien Forester, finds two different construction styles. the original is so precise, that modern technology is not incapable of cutting stone to fit that close. Brien feels this construction is much older than the Inca, the piled stone atop the original. myteries..

Skinski, there were at least eight major civilizations in Peru before the Inca. "they" say that if a disaster happened and we could only save one country, it would have to be Peru! not just history, but natural wonders, biodiversity, geography, culture. i was there almost 3 months, couldn't see it all.

Player #50531971
BluesRaconteur, yes, when visiting Peru it is possible to see the difference. these walls still exist even in cities. i was in a restaurant where, on one wall we could see the older extremely precise stones, on top of those the very precise Inca stones. on top of those the Spanish work, in comparison, looks like children did it. but viewed alone we would think the Spanish work was very good, if done today. it's amazing to see.

Player #21374632, Indians come from India.
Columbus mistakenly thought that he landed in India.
Indian came from people of the Insus valley (Now split between India and Pakistan).
I dian does NOT mean Indigenous people else we all would be some sort of Indians, which is rediculo6.
Guitarzan
Montana Lady, correct. Indian = people of the Indus valley.
