trick question. technically his mom gave birth to him, not a planet....BUT, on Krypton, he would have been a regular dude. He wasnt a Superman until he qas on Earth....so, one could argue that Earth gave birth to Superman ;)

When he started, Superman couldn't fly. He could "leap tall buildings at a single bound". Because of Earth's weaker gravity, he had that ability which later morphed into true flight. In fact, many of his super powers didn't exist at his creation.

Well, I believe in the resurrection. And I sure hope/pray that Christopher Reeves is in God’s book of Life and He resurrects him. He was Truly a great man and did so much good with the Foundations and stuff that he started. I also read that he refused to euthanize the horse that threw him off. He leveled with his wife and said, “Honey, I know u have needs that I can’t take care of, so it’s ok if u date other men”. Now his wife, was a Classy lady. She said, “No, dear. I’m ur wife til death do us part. I’m not leaving ur side. This is where I want to be always.” Wow!! What a wonderful lady!!

I know what happened to him in real life, but it’s up to us how we choose to remember Christopher Reeves. And I think he’d want us to remember him as “Man of Steele”. So I do.
