What is the name of the process by which substances are washed out of the soil?

It’s important to treat the land, tributaries & the sea respectfully this includes the use of chemicals to manage & eradicate pathogens, pests & diseases or to curb the over use of synthetic fertilisers. I try to remedy issues with beneficial insects of course this usually mean having a balance to allow some issues to continue in the first place. Although the issues generally arise in monocultural land practices which most people are guilty of supporting for their grocery convenience. It’s a sad but true fact that consumerism convenience means environmental impact somewhere somehow.
