Which genus of mosquito transmits malaria?
Correct answer: Anopheles
jerezaa
Useless. A good definition and name for mosquitos.
Also, thank goodness humans don't get heartworms.

How scary is it that one can possibly get a brain tumor from a useless mosquito!

Nothing in nature is useless. Mosquitoes are an important food source for some bats and many bird species including hummingbirds. Just because something isn't useful, or even harmful, to humans doesn't mean it's useless. In nature everything has a purpose.

I have been working on a gene drive project against anopheles for many years & only learnt the meaning of its name. Perhaps we ought to label non profit organizations as useless organizations?

Where are these mosquitoes located?
Elfcounsel
Pimpao +, I have one. It's benign and no trouble but maybe I got on the Mary.
Elfcounsel
Player Elf Counsel, Yes. They are bad on the Mary. We used to live in Maryborough and had a boat. The sand flies were bad too. We live in Burpengary now and never see either. A good move.
