What is Vitiligo?

i got it when i was 9 years old around my right eye it even turned part of my eyebrow white

I believe I have segmental vitiligo...it is clearly visible on my right lower leg especially when it's tanned from the sun. Diagnosis for me has been elusive but I am convinced I have it. I can vouch that it takes a toll psychologically as mentioned, and I find myself trying to cover it by wearing long pants.

PointyClown27254, my sister has it on both hands, it doesn't show as much in the winter months as in the summer when her hands get sun tanned thus making the patches stand out more.

FanaticBrawler84648, I have this.The patches sometimes seem to form images like a bird or butterfly. I call them my reverse tattoos. also the skin of the patches is very soft and smooth.

My husband has it. He has beautiful white hair.

Scottish Fraulein, yes he did it’s been discussed by those closest to him & who worked for him in candid interviews. It’s not uncommon for darker skin tones especially when there’s mixed ancestry.
