I'm partially disabled due to the consequences off the Chernobyl fallout. if, I ever can, I'd like to visit the area, so I can pay my respects to those who didn't survive. my late mum worked in the area before coming home for a while to the UK. for me, it holds much intrigue & fascination

Olliesmommi, maybe the radiation particles in the U.S. are from 3 Mile Island? -- The Three Mile Island accident was a partial meltdown of reactor number 2 of Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station (TMI-2) in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg and subsequent radiation leak that occurred on March 28, 1979.

Sadly in March 2022, this may just repeat itself!!!

I lived in an area of North West Highlands of Scotland and, after the Chernobyl disaster, there was a large spike in cancer. Difficult to prove but the prevailing wind at the time brought the fallout right over the top of us. I've moved now but had to have surgery for cancer 2 years ago.

26th of April 1986 day after my daughter Roisin was born. also my Dad's Birthday. also The regents of hurricane charlie occurred the same day. that power station is in 🇺🇦

Player #3263302, I think we can sagely say that the catastrophic consequences of this tragic event is far greater than those at the top will ever reveal. The reactor is still unsafe and will need many more protective measures for many years to come. Very sad
