I wonder how many miles of unexplored caves there are in the world. Seems like a cave would be the perfect place for a person who needed to go underground.

craftmaker76, yes you said before the Earth is flat. About that! perhaps you should have an MRI scan of your frontal lobes AND make sure that your corpus callosum is intact.

From the Greek words speleo-cave and logy-that means a speech/mind/logic/systematic study

in the brain the frontal lobes are the part of the brain that keeps you from saying every damn thing that's on your mind. And the corpus callosum is a band of tissue about the width of a finger and not much longer. The corpus callosus is the only physical connection between the right and left sides of the brain.

My x husband was a spelunking. we lived in Southern Illinois and there was a huge cave system the group was exploring and mapping near St. Louis. I went down once. That was enough. Total darkness didn't bother me but the dampness did. I also twisted my ankle a 1/2 hour in. I've seen several "commercial caves" and thoroughly enjoyed them
