The sun is a star, and like all similar stars in the universe to ours it is white not yellow.

this one caused me to second guess myself because as a G type star, our sun has been classified as a yellow dwarf. So the sun could "really" be yellow, as a classification. However, as a color it "really" emits all frequencies of light and so is white. I chose the wrong "really."

micron9999, not quite, the sun would need to be 9-10 times larger to undergo a supernovae, which is a prerequisite for the creation of a neuton star. But at least 25 times larger to produce a black hole after undergoing a supernovae.

* Seshati *, it is too small to become a black hole. Needs to be st least 10x larger, so it will likely become a neutron star in what will be its last phase
