I'm from Namibia and we also don't have a McDonald's. Just isn't financially viable to buy into such a huge franchise with such a small population. Only ate my first McDonald's when I was 18.

Player #26264402, Having seen McDonalds go from 15 cent burgers and 5 cent fries, I can say that by the 70's they, KFC, and Burger King were all huge. The difference is there is not enough time to cook and those of low incomes are having to work at more than one job. It's not cheap to eat fast-food, just a lot more convenient. I eat fast-food maybe only 3 times a year because I have the time to prepare a meal.

Uninitialized, there was macdonalds in Jamaica where I was there in 2004, if they have gone it is better for Jamaicans. Their own food is so much better. Rice and peas better than fast junk food from macdonalds.
