This question is terrible for this game. Unless you know the answer immediately, by the time you're done reading the question and, more so, the answers, you have maybe only several seconds left to either answer the question...or use a hint, think again, then answer. Granted it's a great trivia question...it is not appropriate for this timed game. There's a reason why most people answer this question wrong...not the obvious one. It's that they use a "Majority Vote" lifeline and even THAT is the wrong answer...

Before he got into politics, Truman was a habadasher just like my father. My dad presented HST with a Stetson hat when he made a whistle stop tour. He put on the hat and put his arm around my Dad and a picture was taken. He was a beautiful soul and one of our great presidents. A hat was also given to Dewey but a photo shows that he never put it on. Maybe that’s one of the reasons he lost the presidency.
