I happen to live in an area of the country where the levee is probably the strongest and most well maintained in the USA. And so well it (Memphis, TN metro area) should be since it's the trucking/transportation hub of the USA.

My great idea for humanity. When the Great flood season comes to the mighty Mississippi, they should PUMP water to some arid parts of our country. Maybe even divert some of the water with a canal???
