In biology, what is the superficial resemblance of two or more organisms?

The word mimic gave it away.

My favorite mimic is the Walking Stick insect. I see them under the eaves of my house in the summertime. Some, including antennae and legs, are over a foot long. When they hold still, they look like a twig on a tree.
