my ex husband had this... it's very worrying for the person next to them when they stop breathing for perhaps a minute at a time ...but you gradually realise they do restart breathing on their own and become less anxious about it.

JezzerLX, what about those who need the equipment so they keep breathing ? the ads aren't disgusting I too have seen them on TV. if they showed ads with a dialysis machine or colostomy equipment and explained health need and said see your local gp .. is that disgusting. how about heat patches for arthritis? denture fixtures? mouthwash ?

VividPotion6704, One should never assume a person with sleep apnea will always restart breathing again. People have died from not restarting their breathing. That's the reason c-pap machines are used.

We're from Hawaii, my brother had sleep apnea and he rode the city bus home after work and would end up going around the island becoz he fell asleep, missing his stop! 😳😅

Neversweats, I had the same result. I didn't sleep due to the discomfort but they said I had it. I disregarded that test. However after a surgery I was told to use nighttime oxygen so I do. No use tempting fate - is ha ha.
