I collect cacti and other succulents. It is best to refer to the two of them as cacti and other succulents instead of cacti and succulents, since all cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti. Cacti only come from the American continent from Canada to Argentina and the islands serounding this continent. There is one exception, though, which is found in Africa, Madagascar and Sri Lanca, thought to have been carried by birds from sticky seeds. Other cacti that are found around the world have been carried by man since the discovery of the Americas.
