I contracted Polio through a bad batch in the mid 1960s. I wore leg braces all my life. I was able to work 2 jobs until I was 45. Then my Post Polio symptoms arrived. I am blessed that I am not in any pain & can still live on my own.

I had a cousin who caught polio as a child. I believe he was about five years old at the time. From the time I remember cousin Jim, he was always in a wheelchair. He was a wonderful man, very intelligent. He worked his life making things better for the impaired.

This disease will make a comeback. The anti-vaxxers will see to that. :-[

Player #3508501, I contracted Polio at Camp Lejeune in the summer of 59 at 13 months. I was pretty good till about 6 months ago. I worked as a mechanic and welder til then. Now I am in a wheel chair with neurological problems caused by scoliosis pinching nerves. Had one corrected but have two more to go then maybe back on my feet...
