Who was called 'The Hero of Gettysburg'?

These are the heroes one should be taught about in schools - public, private, North or South - and way more should be taught about Robert E Lee. He was a great man, a patriot and brilliant leader. Even though he was affiliated with the Confederacy, it doesn't diminish his exceptional life.
