capitalism encourages consumerism, smash capitalism should be the aim of everyone who wants to save the planet.

Capitalism helped with that, but decades ago, it was in a war between the US and the Soviet Union. The US supported capitalism, and the Soviet Union supported communism. Capitalism basically focuses on consumers, money, and slavery. Communism supported the idea that everyone was free.
