Which nation's name is attached to one of the five oceans?
Correct answer: India

chumley4
We never called it the Southern Ocean; it was called the Antarctic Ocean.

At the southern tip of india where the Indian Ocean meets the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, you can see 3 distinct shades of water. From southern tip of india, one can sail straight south to the southpole as there is no large landmass in between - thanks to how Pangea broke up..:

it's the Southern Ocean because Antarctica is a continent .. an ocean should be mostly above oceanic plates .... but the Arctic Ocean is not ..it's not deep enough..it's large enough though

The question should be
What nation has the same name as an ocean

DutchH77
chumley4, Yeah. Apparently they changed that somewhere along the way. I'm told they teach 5 oceans now.
