The New Years Day tradition of first-footing is celebrated in which of these countries?

When I was young you could look out of the window and see all the folks going to first foot their family/friends. That doesn't seem to happen now.

We still do it in the North West of Uk

having brown hair and eyes I was always asked round to first foot at New Year in North East Lancashire I offer got a bit messy😐
