I should know this one, cos my gran told me once that she would live till she was as old as Methuselah, but she didn't! she did last till she was 103 mind.... which isn't anywhere close?!

Don't know about some books' versions of Methuselah but the best known Methuselah in these parts was a Galapagos Giant Tortoise 500 lb and 130 years old when he passed a month after his last birthday. His last birthday was celebrated in June with 100lbs of watermelon from the U.K.
