Just 2 days ago an item in the paper said Jimmy Webb wrote the song after going for a hot air balloon ride but didn't expect the song to go anywhere.

One of the best groups of the era.

Jimmy Webb is a great guy and extremely creative! I used to serve him cocktails in New York.
