This is one of the plants Capt Bligh brought to the West Indies. Registered in the log in Jamaica as Otaheite Apple. Called plumrose on the other islands. Comes in colours from white to blackish purple, tastes like heaven!!

it's tambis in pHilippines we have both macopa and tambis and i can say that this one is tambis. Macopa is red and tambis is pink. We have green tambis too.

This fruit is called “tambis” , it is pinkish, while the maroon color is called “makopa”. These fruits are rich in Mindanao, Philippines.

These trees grew wild on the Island of Kaua’i. I used to pick them up in my 30’s right after they fell. We called them “mountain apples.” Like an apple but softer texture with little crunch. Belongs to the Myrtle Family like Eucalyptus. Not my favorite.
