Poppadom69, F. Scott Fitzgerald was not his pen name. It was the part of his real name he was known by. Real name was Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. (Named for the man whose poem became the words to the USA national anthem: "Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light"...etc.)

I find the answer to this question somewhat misleading. The pen name of the author is F. Scott Fitzgerald. One would not refer to George Orwell as Eric Arthur Blair either.
