Properly used the claw hammer is an awesome tool for levering out huge nails . When I come across such perfect items I always wonder who had the idea to create an item . I think the answer on this particular item is lost to history

This question depends on what type of work is being done. Carpenters may use this type of hammer the most but other trades would use different hammers.
