What continent is the Amazon Rainforest located on?

Protect this irreplacable place, essential to all life on earth!

Known as the "lungs" of the world.

When you see environmentalist give statistics on how many acres a day are destroyed in the rain forest and you do the math, you realize they are LYING! If they were correct, the rain forest would be completely gone (10 plus times!)! Manipulating the statistics hurts the cause to save it! When people realize they are being lied too, they begin to ignore the problem. The rain forest does need protection, but also businesses need to continue. How can they work safely together? Man and Nature benefiting one another? The answer isn’t “either or” it is in figuring out how to help both! There is always a “happy medium” we just need to be willing to compromise and work together for the good of all in every area of life.

Yes no life on earth would survive without it. Thank fully we have it still. But for how long?? Seriously.

Many species have medicinal use, but we must work hard to save the Rain forest.

Another fun fact on Amazon rainforest is that the sand from the Sahara desert flies right across the Atlantic ocean, turning the sand into misty nutrients for the forest to feed on. How cool is the nature?

we need to stop the black market of those beautiful exotic birds. They are smart and adorable as pets but some are abused and mistreated.

so if South America isn't a continent , what is then? and where was I born ? and where did I grow up?

CarMar86, Yes, you can feed many more people with the same amount of grain that is used to feed meat animals for slaughter, and then only a percentage would eat.

interesting that the Queensland, Australia Rainforests are larger. especially as so much of Amazonian RF has been cut down and I believe still is! ? ALL Forests need Protection

The Amazon Rainforest is being deforested primarily for growing grain and soy to feed to cattle for beef. If you have concerns for our planet and are wanting to do all you can to slow climate change, going plant-based is extremely positive and so important for the future of the planet and all beings living on it.
