Seventy years ago my Dad accidentally shot one that was in with a flock of snow geese. He was in tears holding that goose, walking to the house. Had it cradled like a baby. It was one of the softest things I ever touched. Tasty, too. Grandma kept the feathers and cooked the goose, nothing was wasted in our family.
